Our food pantry serves a 53 sq mile area within the Longwood School District, caring for approximately 150 families on a weekly basis. Clients are welcomed with the love of Christ, coffee, cake, and conversation before and after they select their own items in a true shopping experience.
Providing new and gently used coats, hats, gloves and scarves for people in need begins in the late summer. Individual donors and two other local churches have contributed, increasing the number and variety of cold weather items gathered.
Holy Trinity is a Lutheran Church. This means that we are a Christian church that:
The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) is a denomination that confesses the historic, orthodox Christian faith, a faith built on "the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone" (Eph. 2:20).
The LCMS, headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., is mission-oriented and Bible-based. LCMS doctrine reflects the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther, as summarized in The Book of Concord: The Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Churches in Middle Island play a vital role in building community, offering hope, and sharing God's love. Holy Trinity stands as a prime example—welcoming neighbors, serving those in need, and above all, extending the grace of God in Jesus Christ to all.
Whether you're a lifelong Lutheran or simply exploring the Christian faith, the best way to continue your journey is by visiting.
